So we went to this dog show last week. It rained a lot and we got very wet. We could have stood under the tents with everyone else but I wasn't behaving and had to stand outside. I still have some issues with other dogs so I kept trying to lunge at them which meant that mum spent the whole morning pulling me back. We left halfway through because eventually
a) I threw up on mum's shoes,
b) bit my own tongue and started bleeding
c) mum started crying
It was a rather bad day overall. I did however get one third place ribbon. But that might have been because I was one of three dogs in that part of the competition. Pooh. Mum keeps saying she doesn't care if I never win ribbons but that she just wants me to behave myself around other dogs. I'm very good with people but it's so difficult to be good around critters! Sometimes I can't decide if I want to eat them or play with them.

I'm Caleb, a 9 month old male Rottweiler puppy. I live in Colombo, Sri Lanka with my mum and dad who can't imagine why people have children when they can have dogs instead.

Hy Caleb.. take it from a dog that knows, life is much more fun when you get along with other doggys, your Mum will take you to lots more places if you don't try to eat/pounce on/wrestle every dog you see. I used to be a bit that way too, now I have learnt to be more sociable i get to go to heaps more places and Mum is more fun because she is more relaxed.
Mum has gone on sloppy overdrive looking at your photos, she thinks you look just adorable and I'm inclined to agree!

My niece once slipped out of her lead at a dog show. She ran around & around the ring. It was great! I was very proud of her.

Hello there Caleb,
You're not the only one that's lunging at other puppers. Our resident Rottie used to lunge at us alot - he doesn't know he's own strength!
But now with all that socializing - Joe has come to the realization that his lunging at other dogs in the pack is a anti social behaviour. He's a little more well behaved ... but i can't say the same when it comes to other strange humans.
We tell 'em to run for their lives!
